This first photo from this Newport Beach House wedding truly represented how it felt for this day to FINALLY ARRIVE!
Aaron and Laura first hit it off as teenagers during their employment at Hollister many years ago. Aaron developed a crush and kept up with her for 11 years, waiting for a chance to win her heart. Luckily for him, he discovered her on a dating app and decided to reach out! The rest is a beautiful love story..
After Aaron popped the question, the two began wedding planning. Once they started their search for venue locations, their love for the beach drew them right to Newport Beach House, located in Newport RI. It had everything they dreamed of, including a gorgeous wide space, big enough to fit their family and friends. It held TONS of natural light with an uninterrupted view of Easton’s Beach ( aka first beach if you are a local). Laura loved our work and knew that we would be the perfect fit to create bright, luxurious but also FUN images at this lavish beach location. The soft blue and white color palette that they chose will stand the test of time and it was a personal favorite of mine!
Not only was the wedding day designed beautifully, but there were also equally beautiful moments that happened. Aaron’s mother is a cancer survivor and to be able to share a dance with her baby boy broke all of us down. The biggest surprise of the night was when Laura sang to Aaron. He had asked her years ago to sing one day at their wedding and she told him “absolutely not”. She didn’t want that type of pressure at her wedding with so many eyes watching her perform! But guess what, that woman summoned the courage to do it and surprised him during speeches!! It was the sweetest moment everrrr. We will always remember this day with one of our favorite couples! As beautiful as this wedding was, without a doubt, the most beautiful thing about it all is the love that Aaron and Laura have for each other.
If you are thinking of choosing a Longwood venue for your wedding, you are in for a treat! Here’s what we loved about working a Newport Beach House wedding.
The reception space we photographed in has an upper terrace right outside. It was a nice taste of west coast splendor here on the east coast. If I were a guest, I would have a difficult time staying away from that view even after the appetizers were gone haha. What we loved the most was the bridal waiting room. it was the perfect spot for Laura to put on her dress and finish up her “getting ready” photos. If you’re using the eventide side of the venue, you automatically have access to this space before your wedding! Lastly, there is a set of basket swings sitting in a little nook of the venue. Located at the guest side parking lot on the corner near the road. This is an adorable spot for photos and we couldn’t believe our couple had no idea it was there!!
